Driving from Kathmandu to Lhasa, Day 2:

Mt. Everest, the mother of the earth, seen from Tingri a small village on the Tibetan plateau at around 4050m above sea level.

That could be a scene out of some alien world far far away. Spectacular contrast of rocks from the foreground to the pointy snow covered peak in the back.
