The S is bigger than the U. You're clearly looking at multiple font-sizes.
While the idea, just the idea, of Paul Giamatti with a gun in one hand and a shoephone in the other is intrinsically exciting, I’m sorry, the title of this film does not use an opening single quotation mark.
Oh, additional point for you twits: An apostrophe sits at cap height, not small-cap height

It's like seeing one's enemy has their fly
open. I already hated this poster before
noticing the wrong character had been used;
the appearance of these posters on the
streets of Brixton is remarkable at a time
when gun crime is increasing. I wanted to
capture one earlier today but didn't have my
camera.

But isn't it to denote that them has been shortened to em . You would usually write 'em , not just em . Like shortening because to cause - you would write 'cause .
At least that's what I thought.
That said, the movie looks like it might be
simply awful, but that's just me. I still
watch "Milo and Otis" from time to
time, so perhaps my taste can't be trusted.

I would expect a comment like that from
somebody whose screen name does not even use
a mandatory apostrophe.

If Joe will excuse me jumping in here, may I
suggest that a closer reading of the
picture’s caption might clarify matters?

Good call on the single quote, but
considering the baseline shift, it looks to
me like it is at cap height. The E is just a drop-cap.
Don't push your luck joeclark. (However, you
could easily argue the merit -- or lack
thereof -- of a drop-cap in the middle of a
title.)
Also, it's not very nice to chastise people
while not leaving it for the rest of us to
see.

First, they clearly do not know what the fuck
they are doing.
I see only two plausible options:
• S and U are caps.
• S and U are caps. HOOT E P are small
caps. M is a petite cap (pace Mrs Eaves)

Isn't the apostrophe facing the wrong way?
Chicago doesn't mention 'em or the like in
the section on contractions, but in 8.35,
years ('84, '76) have apostrophes with their
"backs" toward the number. (Doesn't
the direction of the apostrophe depend on
where the missing letters were?)

I see this is still going on. ‘ isn’t an
‘apostrophe.’

We are not making a stab at comedy. We are
fact-checking their asses.
