This afternoon was spent in Yolo County exploring. I finally decided to stay at the West end of the Yolo Causeway and see what the light was going to do and see if I could make an interesting image of Sacramento, CA. The ground was giving off some heat in the afternoon and made my images look like a desert mirage. And the sky had this pastel violet hue in the late afternoon.
This is the view of Downtown Sacramento, roughly North to South and from the CalSTRS Building in West Sacramento to the California State Resources Building in the downtown. I'm not certain why there are road reflectors in the middle of the drainage, but they're an interesting object in the frame. I wish that the contrail was closer for more effect, but I'll settle for what I captured.
