So you've been to Canterbury. Nice city in
the South East of England.
I was a tourist there in 1999 and I'd like
to share a pic I took here, exactly at the
"West Gate" -the name of the
landmark this photo shows.
What I remember when I see this pic is that
this landmark separates the city in 2 parts
-the old Canterbury and the new Canterbury-
according to what a guide told us. It's an
impressively solid structure.
Now that I travel back in time, I remember
some of the details presented by the person
showing us the city after reading data from
the internet: www.hillside.co.uk/tour/c3.html
It was a very cold and windy Saturday
morning in January 1999 when I jumped off a
train at the station in Canterbury and, after
a short walk, these enormous towers were the
first to be seen before exploring the lovely
downtown with an enthusiastic group of
tourist mates who were with me.
What was it like when you were before the
WestGate Joaoa?

Hi Alicia
Yes, I was in Canterbury last Summer. I
loved the city. The weather was nice and I
felt very well there. We also had a guide
(who had been one of our teachers at the
course) who told us a lot about Canterbury.
Although I can't remember any details, I keep
in mind that it all was very interesting.
Canterbury is definitely a town worth
visiting.
