taking in a matinee at the abandoned horace mann high school in gary, indiana isn't quite what it use to be. i especially like the security camera left safely behind the steel cage.

the abandoned horace mann high school in gary, indiana had an enoormus gym with beautiful paintings on the wall depicting its sports prowess, as well as several basketball courts with huge bleachers and many hoops. on one side of the gym, the wooden floors were so warped they swoll up almost 4 feet tall creating a floor that looked like something starght out of the movie termors, or a variety of other horror movies.

**let this be a reminder for all photographers. DON"T FORGET TO BACK UP YOUR WORK. my computer crashed a few weeks ago, and my HDD completely burnt out. i would have lost everything if it hadn't been for my 2 external backup drives. my photos are safe, but i still lost a great deal of work related information that has made it a long 2 weeks**

The drained swimming pool, at the horace man high school ini gary, indiana was in a completely dark room with zero natural light. fortunetly i had a backup flashlight and was able to light paint this entire room using 2 flashlights and a cable release set to a 2 second delay. if memory serves, the exposure was 180 seconds.

backstage at the horace mann high school auditorium in gary, indiana shows all of the different curtains, fabrics, wires, cables and so on that were used in performances when the high school was still in use.
