Love Padlocks
Along the Arno River, near Ponte Vecchio, are thick chains connecting large bollards, filled with "love padlocks". These symbols of love from affectionate sweethearts cover the metal chains and are removed as the chain fills up to allow for more couples to come along and attach their own padlocks.
