So my eyes homed in on the colourful display of macarons, and to my suprise, they were from Ruelo!
They're pretty decent, in my opinion. A smidge on the mushy/wet side for the cookie, but the passion fruit was really good. The blueberry/lemon was colourful and lemony, but I didn't get a lot of blueberry. Lots of flavours on offer.
I had to laugh though at the guy behind the counter when he told these other girls that these were the "latest craze" in Paris. More like they're an institution since they started that train rolling in 1930...
$2 and $3 each, depending on flavour.
