This is almost SOOC. The time was perfect. When I looked up Piazza San Marco, most of the typical travel pictures I saw were taken in the harsh daylight, which doesn't play well off the white frescoes and marble of the buildings here. I had to come at night.
Just after sunset, the sky filled with beautiful tones. A longer exposure intensified these. I didn't even notice the effect that longer exposure had on the globes of light hanging from the arches, but now that I see it, I think it's my favorite part.
Perfect night, perfect weather. perfect shot? I dunno. I wish I had a wider angle lens. But this was the best shot I got from St. Mark's Square for the entire trip.
