hilarious! even better than the one i saw recently, in Minn-StPaul International, where all the arrival and departure boards were showing a windows error...luckily the DC9 i flew home wasn't running windows. ;)

There's a Charles Schwab office downstairs from my office and they have these big flat panel media displays with stocks and ads on them. Usually there is a Windows error popup.

Well, thats similar to my experience at Da Vinci Airport in Rome. MS knocked out the displays:

I saw my favorite error of this type on the front of a BUS. On the display, which normally shows where the bus is going, you could read:
memory error d8eb

my god, that advertising structure on top of the gap (historical bank bldg, i remember) on the corner of yonge and dundas is horribly hideous, what a bloody eye-sore! why is everything so ugly these days?

I found a similar sort of thing in Cardiff, UK, a picture of which I have posted here.

I think my scariest encounter was walking up to a cash machine and it telling me to "Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to log in". My bank obviously trust Microsoft a lot more than I do!

Unfortunately even Apple OS has its problems. I should know, I repair PCs and Apple systems. I can see how if someone doesn't experience Apple errors, they might assume Apple is problem free. I'd think twice before laughing.

Nice! You should add this to the Public Computer Errors group:
