That's GM's Saab for you - the same people
who rebadged a Chevy TrailBlazer and foisted
it off on people under the "9-7"
moniker. Never woulda happened under the
original ownership.

did you notice that the tagline for the ad is
different depending on whether you're sitting
on the window , middle or aisle? i thought
that was kind of clever at least.

I don't think of myself typically as a
crusader (heh or a vandal) but when I saw
this on America West back in January, I
peeled it off my tray and left it in the seat
pocket. I was really pissed at having more
"noise" introduced into the
horrific experience of travel and I had a
little mini micro rebellion. Whatever.

America West's ads are fairly low key. I have
no problem with them if they help keep ticket
prices down... At least they haven't sold the
overhead bin space. Yet.
OTOH, flying Ryanair has got to be one of
the most obnoxious inflight advertising
experiences. The entire flight is one looong
advert.

Did you hear on NPR this morning that North
Korean Airlines have the FA's providing
propaganda re: "Great Leader," in
place of the safety spiel?
