Yesterday I was hard pressed to find something to be grateful for. My car was towed because I wasn't paying attention & parked in a construction zone. $400 later, I was in a crappy mood for the rest of the day. After thinking about it I realized that I'm grateful for my colleague Randy who took me to get my car and that I had the money to get it out. As disappointed as I was in myself, I realize that the situation could have been worse. Today I am grateful for this glorious sunset & that I didn't have to commute into the city.

Today I'm thankful that it stopped raining long enough for my hike up to Lone Mountain for my Applied Linguistics class. I am also thankful for a new year, a new semester, a new season... Lots of new beginnings and I'm grateful for them all.
