This is how we do teh tarik (tea with condensed milk) and kopi tarik (coffee with condensed milk) in Singapore and Malaysia. While the espresso is the express way to drink coffee, we find it easier for the palate when the drink is cooled down a bit. "Tarik" means "pull" in malay, and so we pull the coffee/tea to cool it down some. Of course, the ensuing froth makes it even more palatable.
