Press L & F11 to see as much as possible
I've been completely consumed by the summer time doldrums. Life has been a bit too busy to get out and play as much as I've like. Although I have been visiting some new spots, I often come home with simple scouting snapshots instead of images I want to work on.
I've always tried to present some of my best work here on flickr, but as time goes by, I find myself increasingly more hard on myself when critiquing my own images. It gets to the point that I don't even share anything...which is bad. I hope to share more of my photography here, but I might try treating flickr less as a portfolio site and more as a place to put images I like and enjoyed making, but might not be considered my "best" work.
Because what is "best" anyway? Is it what I like? Is it what is popular to the masses? Or is it what each individual viewer likes? I think I'm leaning more towards the latter.
This is actually a newer image from back in June up near Pescadero State Beach. The best time of year for the angle of sun at this location is right around the summer solstice, but summer in California mostly means a marine layer or clear skies. So it goes. Look for the note and link to the image I made later on this evening once the sun had set. That one is my favorite from the evening.
Hope everyone has a good week ahead.
