Jerry :)
Thanks, Karena! I am pleased, but I should also tell you that I made a positive transparency from the orginal photo and am doing a Gumoil of this as well (or at least trying) The monochrome print is done so after a few days I will etch it and add a second color. I am having a hard time clearing the oil from the hardened bichromate, so am hoping that the etching will help.

Jim maybe you need to etch your print after you have wiped the excess paint away, but even so after a few days etching will soften the gum and a certain amount will tend to come away.
I often don't worry so much about clearing the first layer of paint if there are going to be subsequent layers applied.........you can clear too much and not be left any to act as a resist to the paint .

Jessica and Phil, thank you!

Karena, I etched the print and it and my highkights cleared significantly. A few more days drying time and I will be ready for the color. I am either going to use B Sienna or Paynes Grey. Your Gumoils are fantastic so I appreciate your input, thank you!

Sometimes I only wait for a day a print to dry
I probably need to do some tests to check the difference
