Baby Hat

Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Red (a discontinued color as far as I know) and a little bit of pale orange.

Pattern is my own. I cast on some stiches and knit intending to make a rolled brim hat and then I remembered I should put in a purl row to make the roll stop where I wanted it too but by that time the garter ridge showed far above the brim so I decided to make it a 'design' feature instead of ripping it back. Then I needed something to add in the garter ridge panel so I though some bobbles would be cute. And I just did some decreases and made a gathered top. I might add a pom pom if I have time, it's for a baby shower this weekend and I still have a pair of wee booties to make!
