Thanks! She is a great subject when she's feeling cooperative: Window light at about 6:45 pm. About f/1.4 - f/2 on that manual OM lens. Lots of chromatic shift, but it's pretty fast compared to the E-510 kit lenses. I think I used a tripod, too.

What a beautiful portrait, her stare and the deep, rich colors are incredible

Thanks, CG. I think that I put the point of focus on her eyes, or maybe the tip of her nose. The depth of field is pretty shallow, so it seems to work.

wow. I agree with CG. You capture a look that she doesn't give everyone else. Like a time-warp back to the 1800s.

I think that all my family and pals should have their photo taken in the same spot, wearing this hat.

Hey, hey, hey, now...! I have a couple prints @ 6x4. I'm going to have quickstop or mpix print an 8x10. And I promise not to "embed" my RGB profile.

I got my prints! The color and contrast look exactly like what I'm getting out of my monitor.

I'm suprised you took this at 1.4 - 2 as there seems plenty of depth of field. I shoot regularly at 1.4 with a Zuiko 50mm on a Canon 5D and the DOF is very shallow in a beautiful way.

Yeah, but that's what the dial on the lens displayed: f/1.4. Sorry.
