This is a shot taken in Chelsea, Michigan. There are two dominant elements in Chelsea, one is the clock tower, the other is Chelsea Milling, makers of Jiffy Mix baking products. The two are across the street from each other. This shot is obviously of the clock tower, but my real interest was in the sky. I really like how the clouds came out. I was using my ultra-wide angle lens and I like the way wide angles capture cloud formations. The original shot was in color.

You are so right about the effect of a wide angle lens on cloudscapes. Just a great shot, and a wise choice with the B&W. The widest I have is 28mm (on an APS sensor). I'm lusting after the Tamron 10-20mm. Bob
