Lines in the Sand
This is a shot taken at North Myrtle Beach, SC. I was wandering around looking for things to shoot when I noticed two people riding around on the beach on a tricycle of sorts. I really liked the patterns they made in the sand.
I tried to capture them as they were making the pattern, but just as I was framing the shot they headed off. I was able to capture one of the cyclists as he was leaving. I would have been happier if I had caught both of them in the frame as they were making the marks in the sand, but I'm happy with the position of this cyclist.
I did some minimal post-processing to bring out the lines in the sand. I tried black & white, but it made the cyclist almost disappear. I used some contrast and vignetting to focus the attention on the patterns, without losing the cyclist.
Comments and criticism welcome.
