This is a night shot of the Mackinac Bridge. The bridge is the 3rd longest suspension bridge in the world and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
I took this shot from the Lower Peninsula side and shot with a zoom lens for a long exposure (60 seconds). I started at one focal length and then after a few seconds I would zoom out a bit and then wait a few more seconds. When I completed the range of the zoom, I went back the other direction for the duration of the exposure. Other than some minor curves work in Photoshop, this was done entirely in camera. I like this shot because it sort of makes me think that the bridge made it's own fireworks display.
