You can't always get the best of lighting, but you can always do the best with the lighting you have.

Cedar Falls has an industrial history much like other sites along the 65 mile long Reedy River. The shoals were used as early as the 1820’s to power a woolen mill, a saw mill and in the early 1920’s an electrical power generating plant. A general store located between the dam and Cedar Falls Road served local residents. Foundations from some of these structures and area homes remain on the site.

This was one of those days when you just can't find the photo you were looking for. After diving a total of 166.5 miles round trip, all I managed to come back with is one hand held shot of this gorgeous landscape.
My dad and I were headed to Long Creek Falls and fell short on time due to a late start. We pasted this scene on the way in and I told my Pops that I had to at least find something to snap.
The cloudy day was perfect for waterfall shooting, but as for landscapes, it wasn't the best lighting.
This is a vineyard and a peach orchard farm with one excellent view of the mountains. I bet it is gorgeous in the spring at sunset time.
