Los Riscos de Famara, con sus impresionantes paredes verticales, son el principal macizo montañoso de Lanzarote, con 670 metros de altitud. En Famara se presentan los materiales geológicos más antiguos (Mioceno). Lo abrupto del terreno permite que sea el refugio de numerosas especies, además de una curiosa urbanización poblada casi exclusivamente por holandeses y alemanes.

The cliffs of Famara, with its impressive vertical walls, are the main massif of Lanzarote with 670 meters. In Famara are the oldest geological materials of the island (Miocene). The rough terrain can be the refuge for many species, and also a curious housing development populated almost exclusively by Dutch and Germans.

Antiguo morador de la práctica totalidad de nuestros sistemas montañosos y bosques, poco más de 80 osos sobreviven hoy en España, repartidos entre la Cordillera Cantábrica y los Pirineos. Entre sus amenazas destacan la humanización de su entorno y la desaparición del tapiz vegetal por sobreexplotación, cambios en el uso del territorio y construcción de infraestructuras, junto con los lazos, cepos y escopetas de los cazadores furtivos.

Old inhabitants of almost all of our mountain ranges and forests, just over 80 bears survive today in Spain, divided between the Cantabrian Mountains and the Pyrenees. Among its highlights threats humanizing their environment and the disappearance of plant cover due to overfishing, changes in land use and infrastructure construction, plus bonds, stocks and poaching shotguns.
