Thanks, I'm glad you thought so!

Hah, thanks! And there are even MORE abandoned farms in Saskatchewan. :P

Hee hee, thank you!

This is what Kansas looks like, hmm? And I played Toto when I was in fourth grade. :P

Why thank you.

Thanks!

It's not a texture, it's just dust and scratches on the viewfinder of the camera I was shooting through. But thanks!

The spots do kinda look like debris flying around... and the windmill tail is pointing in the same direction the plastic on the windows is blowing... looks like it could just about be a tornado in the making. :o)

like the treatment and colour tones a lot; I find the noise or whatever it is a little too coarse in the sky part of the picture.

Amazing shot, I like the texture it has, even if its just from dust and scratches. Almost looks like a plague of locusts or something.

This really is a great piece. Please don't be offended, and maybe I'm just way out in left field on this one, but I'd rather see more photos like this and not just another same-old head-shot. Not that your portraits aren't good, I just think you're capable of more. Take that for what its worth, probably nothing. Hope I didn't offend...

Nooooooo! I'll miss you. :(

Thanks! And you should definitely come here. :D

Thank you!

But it wasn't. Tornadoes are scary. And I would so not be outside if it was. :S

He really is. I think I'll keep him. :D

Thanks, but there's really nothing to be done about that. It's just the way the scratches and marks are on the viewfinder. They are more noticeable at the top because there isn't anything else besides blue.

Thank you!

Thanks! It really is too bad that we couldn't take more shots inside, but the outside was still fantastic. :)

Thanks, but I didn't use any textures for this shot. It's just shot through the viewfinder of an old camera, and the dust and scratches were there.

No, you didn't offend... if you look through my stream, especially from before winter, you'll see that I've spent a great deal of time shooting things other than myself. In the winter, it's too cold to go out and shoot as much as I'd like to, so I started the 365 project again to be creative every day. Now that it's warming up, I've had the opportunity to go out shooting again, and have a bunch of photos to process from those shoots. You'll see them posted on my stream, along with my 365 shots.

Thanks for the comment!

I went out shooting yesterday too at an abandoned car lot and the wind was terrible! I'm the state right below you, in Oklahoma, so I'm guessing both of our winds were pretty bad/close to the same. My tripod kept falling over. :(

This is fantastic though! I'm always so impressed with your TTVs!

Thanks! I'm glad you like them! And I've totally always wanted to shoot in an abandoned car lot, but James was too scared to shoot in the one that I found. He's obviously not as much of a rule-breaker as I am. :P

I didn't add any texture to this photo, I just shot it through the viewfinder of an old camera. As I've noted above. Several times. :P

If you're interested, James posted a photo taken at this location that isn't a TTV here. "_DSC7662" by Sick Little Monkey [?]

Oh you guys should totally go! It was funny because I was nervous at first but as soon as I got past the gate I was walking through it like I owned it. My big strong brother on the other hand was all "OMG did you hear that? What was that? What if the cops come? HURRY UP!"

jessi.  Pro User  says:

Hah, that's funny. I've never once worried about the cops coming any time I've been out shooting, but James has mentioned it once or twice. And I totally would go back, but it was in Canada and I can't leave the US right now. So we'll have to find one around here.

You know... the print I bought reminds me of Smallville... which is supposed to take place in Kansas... where you guys are.... but is actually shot in Canada... which is where that photo is from... it hurts my brain to explain that LOL.. but I keep thinking about how cool that is.

The camera I use for my ttv shots doesn't have nearly enough crusty bits. Lots of dog hair, no crusty bits.

Your photo was in too many pools (7)
