Corbiere Tower
Jersey, Channel Islands, Great Britain
Set on top of the cliff, this observation tower was constructed during the Occupation of Jersey (1940 - 1945) on command of German Forces. It formed part of Hitler's Atlantic Wall and used up in excess of 5,000 bags of cement.
Laying abandoned after the war for some time, it become home to Jersey Radio (Marine Service). Since then it has become a wonderful six floor holiday let, and provides 360 degree panoramic windows in the lounge/dining area at the very top. Corbiere Lighthouse and causeway can be seen in the distance.
There are two other similar towers in Jersey (one is closed and the other is a museum).
