earlier this year I wrote this and put it up on brown paper at Tower Beach in Vancouver, but I really love the rhyme and wasn't that fond of how it appeared on the brown paper, not enough contrast, so I did it again on the island. much happier with this new one. here's the first one...

give a man a fish he'll eat it and fall asleep. teach a man to fish he'll endanger entire species. -jerm IX

if a type of creature ever evolved beyond humans becoming more intelligent and powerful, humans would have a hard time adjusting. especially if we were their main source of food. the pathetic, unintelligent humans would try to collaborate against such a creature that kills our babies and keeps us in stalls. we'd scream and yell in anguish, but the creatures wouldn't understand what we're saying. they'd probably laugh at the annoying sound of our cries. our uselessness to intelligent evolution would be means for them to justify anything, although, we'd deem them "heartless." we'd do anything we could to stop them and save each other, our young, our innocence, and more importantly, our money. but we'd be too stupid and powerless, confined to our small spaces, limited food, and endless horror. proud people would never give up and keep fighting. frightened people would line up to do as they're supposed to. weak people would kill themselves before they get tortured or slaughtered. some people would look at the creatures and see fierce, deadly terrorists. most people would look at the creatures and see everything they consider to be disgusting. the honest people would look at the creatures and see themselves.
