    Finished with just over 8.3 million downloads - still going at almost 11,000 downloads per minute. The day averaged out to about 96 downloads per second.

      So ~7.1MB times 96 per second times 8bits/byte = 5.4Gbps+!

      It wouldn't be possible without ISPs, colleges/universities and companies who donated their bandwidth to host Mozilla mirrors. There are about 100 of them, most of which are listed here: www.mozilla.org/mirrors.html

      Travis: Actually the download was in at 17.4mb (well, for OS X, at least) which clocks in at 13.4Gbps. And that doesn't even include all the web traffic or all the people upgrading their extensions. So yeah, it was a pretty high traffic day for Mozilla, overall!
