Vintage Arby's
I saw this photo on Flickr's Explore pages and wondered why. I had no idea that these old signs are so rare. I drive by this one nearly once a day and it's only about a half mile from our house.

Great capture!! We have two of these original signs left in Erie, and still in operation.

Wonderful twilight exposure. Did your lens have a hood on it or was there something else you did to achieve the vignetting?
Jeremy Stockwell (71 months ago | reply)
I used a fake lomo effect over at Phixr to get the vignetting, just for an old-fashioned feel and because the subject seemed to fit the form nicely.

Lovely capture! You got it at just the right time of day.

Didn't know about Phixr - I may have try that out. Thanks.
Your photo is nicer than the one I'm explore as that was in more groups and had more chances for comments.

I don't know about the rarity of these signs, but you did a great job in capturing this. I love the sky!!

Great shot of that sign. That's the Arby's that my family visited most when I was a kid. They have a great view from the hill there too! There are one or maybe two of the signs like that still around here in Tennessee, but every time I see one it always reminds me of THIS sign.
