For Photo Friday -- 'Thin'
I mean no disrespect by showing this abused flag. Personally, I don't even own a flag to fly. But those who do, and choose to fly in in this disgraceful manner, sadden me.

Interesting shot, I like the cloudy sky behind the flag.

Wow, that is a sad thing to see. I wonder if the owners even look at it, or if they just don't care. Thanks for sharing.

This is terrible (not the photo, the condition of the flag). I would be putting a note on their door telling them to take it down!

This is a very powerful image; you have a very unique photographic eye to have captured this, very well done.

no disrespect taken, Jeremy. i'm glad you've posted this...it's a fairly haunting image.

If this flag was damaged in a recent battle and not yet replaced, it's OK. Otherwise, it's a disgrace. In either case, this flag should be retired and properly disposed.
BTW, Wishymom---If I were to see this flag, I wouldn't leave a note on the door---I wound knock!

I work in a nusing home. A very big & very old lady would make me call the administrator (I would call the operator who would pass the message on) every time our flag was looking ragged, even a little. Her brother fought for the US, & she'd be damned to sit at the window and look at that. When she died, the nursing home sent a flag to her funeral....they never do that. Your picture definitely got my attention.

I don't know where you're from, but our local walmart has a box that you can deposit your old flags in and they will see that they are properly disposed of.
I would buy the guy a new flag and politely ask him to take it down....or better yet, buy a new one and just replace it without asking. The knothead probably wouldn't even notice.
