The Skyline

The Skyline by Jeremy Roof.
Chicago's skyline taken from the observatory of the John Hancock Center. Probably most notable is the Sears Tower (black building right of center). I really like the Sears. It's a unique looking building, and has a beauty all it's own. I had to take this shot behind glass in the observatory so there were a lot of reflections in the shot. Thanks to Felipe for doing an amazing job cleaning them up for me.

Great photo - how did Felipe clean up the reflections?

Astrid: He used the clone stamp to grab parts of the sky to mask the reflections (and a few other little tricks). You'd be better served to ask him really. He's pretty good about responding to email.

For those who want the same view but cheaper and with drinks there is a bar in the Hancock tower that you can get to for free. Drinks are extra of course.

I'm really not sure. I want to say no, but I read a lot of lists for different locations in Chicago, and I could be mixing them up. If you had a gorillapod up there, that would be perfect though.
