A face only a mother can love

This morning, as I was grabbing my gear to head off to work, I noticed a spider on the floor in my home office. He was a biggie, at least for our area, so it caught me a bit by surprise.

So what is the first thought that comes to mind...pull out the 100mm macro lens and get some shots of course!

I took some shots from a tripod but then ended up sitting the camera directly on the floor with the lens propped up by a USB thumb drive :)

I would die if I saw that - seriously! We have wolf spiders, but nothing like that. Oh my gosh...incredible detail - which makes it a little scary for me.

Instead of looking at it through a macro lens you should have been looking at it through the lens of a bazooka for goodness sake!! Gross gross and more gross - and no, even if I were it's Mother - I Soooooo would not love it! As for it's face....I can't even bring myself to look at it long enough to try and work out where it's face is!!!!
