I tried something different with this shot in keeping the lens open at f2.8 and shooting two sets of brackets focused on different sections of the scene so I didn't need to increase the DOF. The first focus point was the left side hand rail bolt and the second focus point was the post under the shelf.

Technical info: 2 brackets of 9 exposures from 1/15th of a second to 1/4000th of a second @ f2.8, ISO 100. Merged and processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro through Photoshop after color and lens corrections in Lightroom 3.

Identical processing applied to both sets of exposures through smart objects and manually blended together for final image.

Seats from back in the day when you could flip them from side to side to share space with your travelling companions. This style of car was still in service when I was a child and I remember doing this when a large group of us would go in to the city.

The seat in the background has been broken and converted into a bed that I thought was occupied when we arrived at this location.

Taken on a recent trip to some abandoned Boston & Maine railcars near North Station in Boston, MA. When I was a kid, I used to ride in cars like this with my face pressed up against the windows in the corner so I could look down along side the train. I liked the variety of textures and shapes in this composition and the complete sense of entropy.
