I was mucking about in my vermicomposter yesterday. My little wormies are making some damn good dirt.

Thanks, Karen. I love vermicomposting. The soil they are giving me is such good, rich dirt. I can't wait to top up my houseplants with it. Worms aren't the prettiest things to capture in a photo, I agree, but I'm a little bit fascinated by these little wigglers and the work they do. Can't help but appreciate them.

Jen, they're not so bad. You never have to touch them, and rarely even see them. As soon as you lift the lid and light comes in, they dive underneath to hide. And they do such a good job, the compost *never* smells.
