The sun was still shining, though not for long - those crazy dark thunder clouds brought quite the storm! But until then I wanted to capture the gorgeous contrast of the autumn trees glistening in the last light before the coming storm...I was visiting a friend last Fall and as we were chatting I looked outside the window to see this sight - I instantly ran out to get my camera and snapped a few quick pics - the lighting was unreal, the storm was so intense, and yet it was also so gorgeous, all at the same time.
Rural America to me is as much about a close sense of community and acceptance as it is about appreciating the beauty in the simpler things in life. There is nothing particularly special about the items in this scene - the barn I believe is actively used for storage, but set on the road amidst all of the colorful trees made me realize how much beauty there is in our country, even when it's not a fancy city or historical monument. This is the America that so many of us see on a regular basis, an America filled with natural beauty that warms all of our hearts.
