Yeah, so not worth the effort.

Making self-striping sock yarn (which I then dyed two colors, durrrr) on two six-foot tables end to end. It should have been even longer, I think.

But OMG, the walking to and fro with the wooden umbrella swift, that was teh suck. Not planning to do THAT again any time soon, and of course now that the mega skein is dyed I have to wind it AGAIN to get it back to a workable size. Sigh!
