Yesterday it occurred to me how ridiculously bohemian and nomadic my life has become of late. It's getting to the point where some days I don't know who I am or where I've come from. Only that I love wherever I am at the moment and realize just how much of our realities, connections, identities are our own constructions; and yet what would we be without them?

In the last 365 days I have been in the US, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, China, India, Japan, Tanzania and Kenya (blue) and will likely add Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Qatar to the list before the summer's out (yellow). I've also been to Mexico, Guatemala, Sierra Leone, Ghana and the UK--all within the last 3 years. Is it possible to travel too much?

Everywhere I go I leave a piece of myself. No matter where I am, a deep nostalgia tugs at my heart. No matter where I am, somewhere else there's a life I loved for a time, then left behind.

It sometimes feels like the world is losing its mystery. What happens when I've been everywhere?

Fortunately, the world is a big place. At least South America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia and much of Africa are still blank! But knowing me, probably not for long.

For the record, I am 24 years old.

my answer to your question: no it isn't - though you're probably the person who can answer that question best, 24 year old who's been everywhere. well, I'm envious - and job hunting for just such an experience. Good travels! And meantime, just keep taking pictures so the rest of us can experience it as well.
