meet sarasvati.

here is the sculpture mr. a-go-go used as a guide. he's outdone himself yet again. this is my holiday sock monkey. handmade and designed by my swoony mister. i almost love her more than i love him. almost. ;)

every year, mr. a-go-go makes me a sock monkey for Christmas. Check out my sock monkeys from the past:

he doesn't work from a pattern. he builds it up from many layers of socks and stitching. they take months for him to finish as he has to eek out time to work on them. he usually starts from a photo and then does a sketch and moves on from there. they're sculptural only instead of clay or stone, he uses socks! :)
