Today is my daughter's(first born) Birthday. She is a blessing to our family, a wonderful daughter to us and a loving sister to her siblings.

Taken at Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary. At the front Openbill Stork, Spoonbill Stork, Painted Stork, Grey heron, Pelicans, Cormorants etc are perched on the mangrove trees. The back tall tree is the home of white egrets.

Yesterday I had a flying visit (oh....not literally, though I wish I had a pair of wings!) for 2 hours to Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary. This is the breeding season for the Painted Storks. They are busily building nests. Some of them have already completed the nest, laid the eggs and sitting on it.
