¡Rayos!

Anoche venía una tormenta que prometía estar de miedo. Normalmente la mayor parte de las fotos que tomo intentando capturar un rayo vienen vacías. En esta ocasión fué al revés. Y todos los rayos se veían impresionantes. Me tocó ver cómo el sitio donde cayó uno, muy lejos, siguió brillando durante unos instantes después de que el resplandor del rayo se había apagado. Daba miedo. Al final, no llegó la tormenta a el norte de Hermosillo.

Last night I saw this storm approaching. When I try to capture a lightning, most of the photographs come empty. This time it was all the contrary. And most of the lightnings were impresive. I saw the site where one hit the ground, far away, still glooming instants after the brightness of the lightning had been gone. Finally, the storm did not reach Hermosillo.

    : Gracias. De acuerdo con ambos comentarios. Lo que más miedo me dió fue recordar que el estar en un sitio alto donde yo y mi cámara éramos los puntos más cercanos a las nubes desde la tierra aumentaba mucho el riesgo de ser alcanzado por uno. No quise convertirme en una estadística más, y me fui a mi casa, a tomar fotos de los que caían por el lado norte, mucho menos impresionantes.

    : Gracias. Sí, parece arteriografía. Se nota que estás estudiando. Estás en la etapa en la que hablas, comes y sueñas Medicina. Por otro lado, no hubo gran edición. Los ajustes de la cámara los puedes ver en www.flickr.com/photos/jegomezr/2926143475/met a/. A la imagen obtenida en formato RAW, con el software Bibble light le disminuí un poco la exposición, ajusté un poco el histograma (bajé los rojos) para quitar un poco de la contaminación por la luz de la ciudad, y con el mismo software usé un emulador de película de B y N (no solo dessaturé). Saludos.
    Actualización: Probablemente sí me limité a dessaturar, usando el programa GIMP.
