Two Tiers

Two Tiers

One from the previous winter, we've had no deep snow like this recently. Only in reminiscing about that snowy winter did i re-discover this. I can't believe i forgot this one! I must have had some other images that i really got distracted by.

Despite a lack of snow this year, i stumbled upon this shot from last year. I'd forgotten about it and it reminds me how great conditions were then.

Shine On...

Shine On...

The pier pavillion at Herne Bay. I arrived moments before taking this shot, as the light faded. I returned next day, when it looked much more mundane in the daylight. Fencing and demolition signs were up. I'd love to know what the fate of this pier was, if anyone knows.

I was going to use a 2:1 format for this image. A square crop cut out the cloud on the right which i wanted to keep in. Then i saw the superb jetty image in 5:4 format by Rohan Reilly which inspired me to try it here. It solves my problem of keeping the clouds on the right, but there's something about the format i'm liking and can't fully articulate. To me the image has room to breath if that makes sense.

Thanks to Hengki Koentjoro who suggested the title, i just had a mental block!
