(At the time, I was just wandering around the neighborhood, gawping at the architectural gems like a cowboy; now, I get the feeling, they deserve a nice tea set and doilies... Incidentally, with this lens and treatment, you're seeing considerably more subtleties and fine detail than would be apparent in real life, standing across the street; I was actually trying just to capture the craftsmanship and design flourishes.)

(Wrapping up a pair of stonework studies, and interesting in the way the camera seems to have picked up more blue tints in some of the daylight midtone shadows here - not intentional, maybe a lapse in my using the Photoshop filters, different.)

(Yes, it tasted as marvelous as it looked - lush, complex, fresh and subtle, with shellfish and chorizo plus hearty seasoned rice cooked to perfection. I mistakenly thought this was cioppino at first, but it didn't have the tomatoes or a wine sauce, and was more Spanish than Italian; a classic.)

(Some serious gingerbread, and looking at it from this angle seemed to emphasize it - like condensed Rococo...)
