This photo was taken sometime in 1967 or '68. It was taken from a mountain top park that sits next to Port Jervis, and offers excellent views of the city, the Delaware River, and Matamoras PA.
The Erie roundhouse and turntable are clearly seen, as is the engine terminal, and sand towers.
After the steam trips ended, the turntable fell back into disuse, but it's fully restored condition is maintained and several pieces of railroad equipment are on display at the site.
