Hanging Lake, one of the most incredible, beautiful places I've been. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more water coming over the falls as the last time I was there. I think the biggest difference is that last time I was there was in April when the spring runoff was about at its peak. This time in late June a lot of the runoff is already done. Still stunning though. I can't get over the color of the water and how clear it is. I had a time of it getting in position for this shot. I was on top of some limestone boulders which would have been a pretty easy climb except that I was carrying my one year old in a baby backpack. The light was gorgeous as it was about 8:00 pm and there was no stray sunlight getting in the canyon. I carefully adjusted my tripod to sit steady upon the limestone boulder, turned my polarizer to take as much glare off of the water as possible and set the camera for a medium-long exposure.
