This image was crafted in three parts. I hope you'll view it at the LARGE size to see the result more clearly......but here's how it was accomplished:
A) I took three auto-bracketed shots in quick succession with my Nikon D70.....one at +2.0, one at correct exposure, and one at -2.0. I then blended the three images with Photomatix.
B) I next used a Photoshop Elements 3.0 filter adjustment called "Posterize".
C) I then used the Photoshop Elements brightness and contrast levers to finish the image by highlighting the fog at the base of the Grand Tetons.
The whole process creates imagery that appears to me to be part photo and part artwork.
