typical MIT interior architecture, gleaming linoleum and long straight hallways that still somehow manage to create a labyrinthine effect by flowing between buildings and getting you lost. This is in the main engineering set of buildings (numbered 1-7 I think). Also if you're a professor here you get your name painted on the door! In Australia if you're lucky you get a quickly replaceable printed plastic strip that slides into a holder on the door. Not quite the same thing...tenure, anyone?
