One Last Time

One Last Time

ONE LAST TIME

This is the last photo (well set of photos as this is an HDR) that I took as an un-engaged man. Before my fiance arrived on Mount Washington, I had some time to kill. my camera was part of the set up and I had some time to kill so naturally I fired off a couple shots - when in Rome...

I had to wait for the light to be perfect as it was behind some cloud cover for quite some time. The sun came out just in time only to be outshone by the sparkly ring that was in my pocket! So this is my last photo taken as an un-engaged man...

The Foggy Shore

The Foggy Shore

This was taken the same morning as my last post - the morning before Halloween. The fog was thick but off in the distance. There was a light mist just above the surface of the water. That combined with the buildings just beginning to disappear into the fog made for a very moody image that I am quite please with. As always...thoughts and critiques are welcomed!

Seeing Double [EXPLORED 12/8/11]

Seeing Double [EXPLORED 12/8/11]

Fog is something that most people don't really care for but as a photographer I embrace it. I have a lot of ideas for photos of the city with fog as it adds a certain mood and mystery to photos. This was not one of my predetermined photos but it presented itself to me and I was happy to take advantage of it! The water was calm which gave me a perfect reflection, the tops of the buildings disappear into the fog, and the light was perfect for the look I wanted to achieve!

Pastel Pittsburgh

Pastel Pittsburgh

This is a shot I a couple of Mondays ago. It was one of the better outings I have had in some time. I felt like I was really in the zone and walked away with a number of keepers.

As for this shot specifically - I really like the pastel pink that the sunset cast upon the city and how it fades to a light blue just above the horizon. The full moon is a nice bonus as well! I hope everyone had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

The Old Mill

The Old Mill

I made it a point this year to make it to McConnells Mil for peak fall foliage. I missed it last year and years prior as well and I didn't want that to happen this year as well. While I was looking for more red and orange hues...the yellowish orange was still quite beautiful. I love the endless shooting opportunities at the Mill!
