Unfortunately, both are blasted to smithereens before the end of the fight by the -- humina, humina, humina -- Summer Glau Terminator.

3PO, for no other reason other than I am not going to vote for any trek characters...

Of course in my heart I know he would lose but I can't bring myself to say 'I vote for Data...'

I think they're both hopeless when it comes down to hand to hand combat, but I'll go with C-3PO :-)

Looks like Data is giving threepio the two-fingered salute- so I'm going with Data.

    another genius match-up!! :D
I have no idea who would win, but I bet they would try to out-talk each other... :D
(love the soft golden ambient lighting too!!)

^ what they all said ... about lighting and Data winning

Looks like it's android over droid as Data is favored in this match-up.

Those commenting about the lighting and backdrop might be interested to know what a simple setup this was. I started with my typical setup and then placed a piece of gold-colored, reflective poster board in a curved fashion onto the set. This reflective poster board that I found at a hobby store is the secret ingredient. I don't often do the curved poster board thing, but I know many of you use it to great effect. Once the poster board was in place, I put a couple of cheap lights on top of my circular diffuser, as I often do. I also lowered the camera a bit more than normal to help mask the difference in height between these two figures. That's it. The reflective poster board did all of the "hard work" of creating the light and colors. Believe me, this was so much easier than lining up the angles on those faux diptychs that I sometimes do! ;-)

Thank you very much for your support of Duel 365!

3PO is a metal clad sissy. Data wins, no contest.

That reminds me. When do we get to see Chewbacca vs Worf?

  9. dcbprime 38 months ago | reply

Lor wins. Obviously that's who arranged this particular duel in the first place.

LOL! Love the similarities in the descriptions!

    Data wins this one.

C3PO is my sentimental favorite . . . I'll bet on the underdog anytime :-)

Yeah, sentiment wins out here for me too. C3PO for the win. Oh, and I have to add to the chorus of compliments about the background. Makes them seem like they're lost on some desolate desert world. ;-)
