- Sweet reflection - Anthony Vitale [Gobble Monster]
Back In Time
This is not a real DeLorean. It's a 1/15th scale toy car manufactured by Diamond Select Toys in 2009. It measures 3.5 inches tall and 13 inches long.
"Great Scott!"
This image is straight out of the camera: no tweaking, no color processing, no cropping, no nothing.

Jim Legans, Jr (43 months ago | reply)
wow, what a great photo JD. what did you use to light it? (from the outside i mean. not the models light up stuff). i'd love to hear the details of how you did this.
JD Hancock (43 months ago | reply)
Stéfan: It can't be done, can it? ;-)
Ruger97: ;-)
Arkaitse: I'm with you!
Jim the Corsair: Thanks! I'm happy to describe the setup. It's a black posterboard backdrop. The car is sitting on a black shelf that is slightly reflective. Two flashlights sit to the right of the car and shine across the backdrop, creating a faint backlight that might be mistaken for reflections from the headlights. Two or three LED lights with a slight blue tint shine directly on the car from the left providing most of the direct light. And of course the lights of the car are activated to help provide realism. That's it! ;-)

Yeah I found one at my local toy store a couple of weeks ago and just recently took some pictures of it..... BUT.... there is no Mr. Fusion and it's advertised as Part II. WTF.
JD Hancock (41 months ago | reply)
riffsyphon1024: Oops! Packaging fail! ;-)
riffsyphon1024 (41 months ago | reply)
Btw, I've already taken pictures with my stormtroopers inside the car, so no need to go ahead with that plan. ;)
JD Hancock (41 months ago | reply)
riffsyphon1024: No need for me to take photos of your stormtroopers. Got it. ;-)
