You forgot his birthday yesterday! He is three years old.
I learned something while trying to take his picture this morning. Cats can easily blink fast enough to ruin every picture with flash. Today, it was more of a problem than usual. So I tried to turn off TTL which uses a quick preflash to adjust the strength of the flash. But apparently my camera doesn't do that. Eventually I discovered in manual mode, I can adjust the flash setting manually which would mean no need for the preflash. That could be useful for jumpy jumping spiders too, but I don't really like messing with Manual mode.
