great color/lighting and way to capture the artist smiling, the focus is soft though, from checking your settings you were able to shoot this at 1/500th so there was certainly more than enough light to close down your aperture a stop or two. The 50 f/1.4 is an amazing lens for concerts and low light, but if you have enough light there's no need to be shooting wide open the entire show. You should be able to freeze most motion fine with 1/200th or even a bit slower.

Justin Kent: Now there's a comment! Very informative. It's my 1st time shooting inside at a concert so I'm learning a lot. Actually I haven't posted them yet, but the 2 shots just before this one were at 1/160th & 2.5 Av and came out great also, like you suggested. They just didn't have as good of an expression. Thanks for the words!
