    1984. My first cell phone. Car mountable *and* truly portable. (Well in 2009 terms, I guess that's "relatively" portable ;)

      Oops, sorry I missed this comment. Answer=no, I no longer have the phone, but I do still have the 1971 VW micro bus that still has the mounting bracket holes where it was mounted when I did have the phone. ;)
