Another in my daily walk series. A lot of walk takes me along Bathers Way, a Coastal walkway along the Newcastle coastline. There's a section that forces walkers to cut straight through a busy beach car park. The extension, which is taking shape very quickly, will eliminate the need for this.

Another scene from my daily walk. This time it's Merewether Beach with ominous storm clouds out to sea. A low pressure system formed of the coast over night and dumped a whole lot of rain overnight and this morning. By the time I was on my walk the rain had stopped but threat of more was still present ...

a morning walk ...

a morning walk ...

My 7D is back from the doctors so took it with me on our morning walk.

I decided to attach the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and also bring along the GorillaPod with the idea of doing some urban HDR's.

Each image was shot @10mm and included 7 brackets; -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3.

Processed using Photomatix, Photoshop CS5 and Perfect Effects 3.

I was a "stylised" look but tried to stay away from the "over tonemapped" look.

View the a slideshow of the entire set here. I'll be adding to it over the next few days.
